Elyria Community Elementary School student
council members Nathan Looney, vice president,
and Brett Rosenkoeher, president, presented
on Dec. 18, 2008, a $1,015.17 donation to
Hattie Larlham.
The money was raised through a one day
fundraiser called Stall the Teacher. The
school’s 251 students were encouraged
to bring in as much spare change as possible.
Before the day’s lessons could begin,
teachers counted and rolled all the collected
change, which took several hours.
