Michigan-based Lodeso,
Inc. presented the Hattie Larlham Foundation
with a check for $21,000 on December 30,
2005, at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children
with Disabilities (HLCCD). The unrestricted
donation was made through the corporation’s
charitable contribution fund.
“Hattie Larlham
is an organization run by caring professionals
who perform invaluable services for individuals
and their families,” Richard Stutz,
vice president of information services,
said. “It is amazing the good one
woman and her family have been able to bring
about.”
Lodeso donates 10 percent
of its profits to the community and encourages
its employees to get involved.
“Last year, we had
employees who started great community projects
such as Tee Up for Turkeys, they ran in
marathons to raise money for causes and
at Christmas time the company supported
a needy family with special circumstances,
giving food, clothing, furniture and a minivan,”
President Ron Borgman said.
Lodeso is a logistics
company providing “large-box”
delivery management services to every address
in the country. It arranges the delivery
of furniture, exercise equipment, office
furnishings and other large items for catalog
and Internet retailers in the United States.
