Camp for Children with Disabilities

Hattie Larlham offers a variety of camps for Northeast Ohio children with and without developmental disabilities throughout the year. Camps are in session when children are out of school: during the summer, winter and spring breaks and in-service days and holidays. Hattie Larlham camps offer children structured and free-play activities that help them learn and grow. Summer and school-year camps offers children a different approach to fun, depending on their interests and needs. A two-to-one camper-to-staff ratio promotes a safe environment for fun. Hattie Larlham camp staff is well experienced with backgrounds in special education and early childhood development.

Summer Camp Hours

Hattie Larlham summer camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during scheduled camp weeks. For parents who need to drop off their children early or pick them up later than the scheduled camp times, a pre-camp and post-camp is available at no extra charge. Hattie Larlham summer camp pre-camp hours are 6:30 to 9 a.m. and post-camp hours are 3 to 5 p.m.

Summer Camp Ages

Hattie Larlham summer camps were developed to meet the social and developmental needs of children with and without disabilities, ages 5-12 years old. The summer camps for teens with disabilities are for young adults ages 13-17 years old.

Arizona Summer Camp for Children with Disabilities

For the second year, Hattie Larlham will host a summer camp for children with disabilities in Arizona. The summer camp, called Camp Connect, for children ages 6-12 years old with autism or within the autism spectrum.
