The activities assistant provides day programming to people with disabilities with a focus on working with animals and engaging in a variety of activities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting with personal care, transportation, interpersonal relationships and service outlines in the persons served service plan. In addition, services to animals may include feeding, cage cleaning, grooming and arranging vet appointments.
This is a full-time position working 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, but must be flexible to meet the needs of the Constant Companions program.
A high school diploma or GED is required. At least one year of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred. A valid Ohio driver’s license meeting Hattie Larlham's driving requirements is required. Candidate must pass criminal background check and post-offer drug screening.
