School is part of growing up. Educational opportunities for children with developmental disabilities are available through Hattie Larlham.
Older children with developmental disabilities can elect to attend school in the community of their choice or remain at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities and receive an education from either Constellation Schools or the Crestwood Local School District, both of which staff classrooms within the building.
These schools can provide children with developmental disabilities a kindergarten through 12th grade education that meets Ohio Academic Content Standards. Daily schedules consider each student’s ability and skill level. Areas of study include English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
